Central Coast based producer Ninajirachi is furthering her run in 2020 with her next single, “Blumiere”, and the announcement of her forthcoming second EP.

The five-track EP, also titled Blumiere, is set to be released on June 5 via NLV Records. “Blumiere” is the second single from the EP, and it follows “Cut The Rope”.

“Cut The Rope” kicked off the year for Ninajirachi on the release front. An energetic vocal-driven jam that saw Ninajirachi debut music using her own vocal, the track was premiered on Billboard, where they said the song is “an urgently shimmery and sleekly futuristic banger with a glitchy breakdown as memorable as the melody”.

Where “Cut The Rope” debuted shifted modes of thinking for Ninajirachi, “Blumiere” follows suit. First spun by Anna Lunoe on Apple Music’s Dance XL radio program, Nina flexes her production skills in a way that she hasn’t before, and this new run of music is out to prove that.

“This song has been through it a bit. I started it in April 2018 and there have been many versions. It sat on the hard drive as a rough idea for ages - I'd come back to it every few months and chip away because I believed in it but couldn't figure it out. Even up until a week or two before it was totally finished, it sounded pretty different to how it does now. This song was definitely a lesson in persistence and I'm so glad for it!”

Where the track starts out sweet and blissful, it descends into a glitchy haven, accented by roaring synths and booming basslines. Her sweet vocal sits effortlessly atop the arrangement, striking a keen balance between the two. It’s a new era for the Sydney-based producer, and she’s diving headfirst into it.

Wherever I go
Place we only knew
Whenever I go
Everyday’s a new breakthrough
You make new
Is he there too? Coz I want you to know
When I’m on my own I can’t be without you
Do things alone and I think about you
Get in the zone and I hear the sound
We should not do that
